About Mermaid Art

I started this group on September 20, 2008 when I did a search for mermaid on Ning and *nothing* for mermaid artists that was for anyone to show their work that was active showed up. I thought surely there would be folks on Ning that adored mermaids or made them, so I started this group!

I am really enjoying creating mermaid art and the only group I was a part of for that existed only on eBay - so I decided to create a group out in the world beyond eBay dedicated to original mermaid art and the artists that create it.

I enjoy you enjoy visiting this group and hope you will check back here often to see new work by any artist that joins! :)

I also started a full-fledged website at MermaidArtists.com - because this Ning group wasn't showing up in the search engines like I wanted it to, so now it is a sister group that helps support the main site. :)
